The 2012 GMGA Membership Directory is now available here.
This Directory is password protected to protect the privacy of all members. Please see below about passwords and membership.
GMGA membership is not included in your Chapter membership. They are separate organizations and must be renewed separately. The GMGA membership renewal form is here.
Please check your email 24 April 2012 for the new password, which goes into effect 1 May 2012. If you did not receive your password it may be that your GMGA membership is not current – please be sure that you have renewed your GMGA membership for 2012 before requesting that a password be sent to you.
If you need to renew your GMGA membership, you can do that online right here.
If your GMGA membership is current and you have not received your password to access protected pages you can ask here.
The GMGA membership renewal form is here.
The list of local chapters, with links to their websites, has been moved to the In Your Neighborhood section. To expand our outreach, we want to make it easy for everyone to be able to contact an MG. You can find that list here.
If you have trouble accessing any protected page and your membership is paid for 2012, please contact webmaster.

Edith, I have emailed you the password directly-
Hi Linda. Please contact Carole for membership info
I am on the Grant Committee for our local MG organization. I need to read the guidelines for MG Grants and our committee doesn’t seem to have a copy. How can I get this information?
Hi, Marilyn.
Grant application is right here
The procedure is here.
Somehow I overlooked dues payments for 2010 and 2011, but the check is now in the mail for the two years. I’ve been a MG since 1999, quite active until recently. Any way I could get a diectory for this year upon receipt of my two years’ dues?
Thanks
Tomas
P{lease send me the password to access the Scoop. I have been an active Master Gardener since 1994, and I renewed my membership by check on May 12, 2011.
Maisie R. Partridge
North Fulton Master Gardeners
I emailed you the password directly.
Let me know if you still have difficulty-
cheers-
Terri
I believe my membership is current, please send password to Scoop.
Thank you.
Kate, I emailed you the password

Terri
This is a difficult website. Need password but no windows live e-mail account. Send to above address. No email addresses on site to send from home e-mail.
I am sorry you are having difficulty.
This is not a Microsoft site, so I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “no windows live email account” – if you explain it a little perhaps I can answer your question. You do not need an email address to login, just the password.
At the bottom of every page is a link to send an email to the webmaster in case of difficulty.
There is also a page with the Board members emails.
If you have a suggestion about where else there should be emails, please let me know and I will try to get it up.
The password has been sent to current members several times, but, Donna, I do not see your name on any of my lists of current members. It may very well be that I do not have an up to date list, so I am copying Carole Teja and Dot Martin, the Membership Chairs, who can determine your membership status and send you the password.
If you still have difficulty once that is straightened out, please let me know and I will assist you as best I can.
Again, I am sorry you are having difficulty. Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated-
Thank you,
Terri
Why do we have to have a password to read a magazine that we have subscribed to / paid for? I cannot keep up with all the passwords that I have created, thus I have narrowed it down to one. Is there any chance I could get a copy mailed to me so I will not have to try to remember all the passwords that seem to be constantly changing. We should not be a secret society.
Hi, John.
The current password for the GMGA site is ***** (I sent it to you via email)
If I may be so bold – as a long-time internet /computer professional – using only one password for various accounts on the Internet is strongly advised against, for security reasons. The bad guys, unfortunately, are numerous and skillful and making your accounts accessible to a single hack makes you all the more vulnerable. Passwords are a total pain, I completely agree, but these days security is unfortunately all too necessary. There just isn’t any other way to protect your own interests.
The Members Only section is password protected to maintain the privacy of both the members and the organization. And to enhance the value of your membership: if The Scoop were freely available, there would be folks who would read it without joining GMGA – it is a benefit of membership and access is rightly restricted to members of the organization. The GMGA password changes once a year and the new password is sent to members in late April/early May.
Printing and postage costs are such that current dues would not even cover the cost of paper copies sent US Mail. But I am copying Carole Teja, Membership Chair, on this email and perhaps she can be of some assistance to you regarding mailed copies.
Cheers-
Terri
Could you please send me the password to read the scoop. I am a member Thanks
Hi, Jean.
I don’t have you on my list, which may certainly be out of date.
I’ve copied Carole Teja, Membership Chair, who maintains the official list and I’m sure she will be in touch.
cheers-
Terri
Sending passwords to 100 or so members is time consuming for anyone. I understand the need for the password protection. Why can’t we use our e-mail address as our password? Or at least use a user log-on such as kgruenhagen or tsmith? I don’t remember what you sent me in June. An alternative for me here is to skip reading the Scoop and probably not renewing my membership.
Suzy Gruenhagen
I emailed the password to you.
cheers
Terri
I guess I need the current password. thank you! Peace be with you this holiday season!
Hi. I sent it to you directly. Thanks-
I have had computer problems also. Can’t seem to use last known password to access The Scoop. My membership is current as far as I know. Has password changed?
Maybe I’m just getting old but the new form for membership renewal seems incomplete. My wife and I are both Master Gardeners but there is not place on the printed or online form to list her information. Also, I think I may need the password for the membersonly section of the site.
Hi.
I’ve sent a copy of you comment to Dot Martin, the Membership Chair for GMGA-
Sue, I sent you the password by email. It has not changed-
Terri
