The Scoop is always looking for submissions from GMGA members.
The next deadline is 15 November for the Winter issue.
Please email David Weiner (Carroll), Editor with news from your chapter.
Guidelines for submissions:
Submitted photos must have the written permission of both the people pictured and the photographer. Fully state their names as well for attribution. Note who is where in the photo. Please include contact info for the photographer.
Average article length with a photo runs about 200-250 words. Without a photo they run around 300 words. Any submitted article is subject to editing in order to fit into the Scoop. Unfortunately, articles cannot be returned to the author for editing due to time constraints. Please include the name of the author and their contact information.
Ready to print advertisements for events which have downloaded photos from the internet or other sources also must have an attribution included. (Free digital photo sharing sites will state very explicitly the terms of use and how to give attribution.) Again, some editing may be required in order to fit.
Advertisements for events which will occur before the Scoop publishing date will not be put in the Scoop, but will be forwarded to the webmaster for posting on the GMGA website.
If you are submitting forms to be filled out by members try to design them to fit half of a page.
