All conferees will hear keynote speakers Staci L. Catron and Mary Ann Eaddy present “Seeking Eden: A Collection of Georgia’s Historic Gardens.” Glimpses into the past, reflecting changing times and tastes.

There will be three breakout sessions (A, B, and C). Select your choice of option for each breakout session row.

2018 GMGA Annual Conference, Extra Fun Options

On Friday, July 13: Daytime Tours
Several of the Atlanta institutions that are presenting during the Saturday conference are offering Friday guided tours. This is an opportunity to (1) either gain first-hand experience prior to Saturday’s presentation, or (2) enjoy one or more Friday guided tours and attend Saturday presentations on different topics but also of interest.
SIGNING UP:
You may pick one Friday morning tour, and/or one Friday afternoon tour. You must be a conferee to sign up for a tour. If you are from out of town, your spouse or partner is welcome to join you on the tour; simply sign-up for two.
PRICING:
Cost is set by and varies by institution. Please note: ALL TOURS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, and WILL OCCUR RAIN OR SHINE.
TOUR SIZE:
Each tour is limited to a maximum of 25 people. Depending on demand, additional tour(s) led by a docent might be able to be added. But strike while the iron is hot.
LOGISTICS:
There will be sufficient time to get from the morning venues to the afternoon venues. ON FRIDAY, YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN FOR LUNCH. Convenient restaurant locations will be provided.

Note: Price for History Center and Botanical Garden tours includes a general admission ticket. Parking is free at the History Center. Parking varies in cost for the other venues.
Note: Georgia Tech also has self-guided walking tours that may be of interest if your schedule allows.

SIGNING UP:
You must be a conferee to sign up for the Networking Reception. If you are from out of town, your spouse or partner is welcome to join you; simply sign-up for two.

Sunday, July 15: Tour of Oakland Cemetery

SIGNING UP:
You must be a conferee to sign up for a tour. If you are from out of town, your spouse or partner is welcome to join you on the tour; simply sign-up for two.
PRICING:
The Tour is NON-REFUNDABLE, and WILL OCCUR RAIN OR SHINE.
TOUR SIZE:
The tour is limited to a maximum of 25 people. Depending on demand, an additional tour led by a docent would be added, based on docent availability.
