UGA Extension Gwinnett in collaboration with the University of Georgia Center for Invasive Species is offering an Invasive Species First Detector Program at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, GA. Invasive species are one of the greatest threats to the environment worldwide and in Georgia, and they cause billions of dollars in damages annually. The First Detectors program offers a two-day advanced workshop to provide tools, educational materials and training. Learn to identify, report and manage invasive species. The cost is $40 per participant, and seats are limited. Registration deadline is October 4.
