2021 GRANTS

We have awarded $3,345.00 in grants for 2021 to a total of nine recipients! The criteria for awarding project grant money includes community value and involvement in horticulture to make a difference, educational value where the funding makes a significant contribution, displays realistic goals and objectives, as well as a maintenance schedule, documents the project for GMGA and the community that instructs and informs so that others may benefit from the work funded and, utilizes as many Master Gardeners as possible.

Reed Creek Demonstration Garden - To rehab existing gardening beds that washed out during flood and to anchor beds in place.

Berkley Lake Elementary – Designing and planting a pollinator garden.


Gwinnett County (Jacquelyn W. Daniell)

S.E. Gwinnett Cooperative Community Garden – Experiment with Soil 3 as soil amendment, purchase Black Cow and additional plants.

Peachtree Elementary School – Create new raised bed for kindergarten with herbs and plant new plants throughout school courtyards.

Vines Park Rose Garden Expansion – Add native plants and vines to Rose Garden to create color and interest when roses are not in bloom.
