Angela Holliman — VP Education
the.gmga.vpeducation@gmail.com

I am a proud Florida native (Florida Pioneer Family) from Jackson County. My parents moved us to NE Indiana for better opportunities. I fell in love with the Midwest because my aunt and uncle owned a farm and the "smell" of it got me hooked on gardening.

I became a Purdue University Master Gardener and loved being part of a culture that enjoyed all I did. Once my husband decided he could not handle the ice and snow, we moved to the Duval County, Florida area where I started over with my MG training with UF. That program taught me so much about the possibilities that can be accomplished through Extension. Once settled in Chatham County, I worked through another MG program that was almost identical as the one in Duval County.

As a former YMCA Program Director, I find so much satisfaction creating a program that works not only for our community but for our volunteers. What a great feeling it is to match those needs with our volunteers.

I live in Pooler with my husband of 30-something years and a Pomeranian that actually owns the house. Our daughter and family live in Baltimore.
