Lumpkin County Parks and Rec, 365 Riley Road, Dahlonega, Join the Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners for our March program on an instructional garden in Gainesville designed to expose children to nature and use gardening to instill a sense of responsibility and love for the common ground we share. Growing plants, a closer community and growing young gardeners is the mission of a special place on Green Street in Gainesville sponsored jointly by the Hall County Master Gardeners and the Hall County School District called Gardens on Green. The co-founders, Kathy and Lee Lovett, will share their experiences and plans for the gardens which are divided by theme from a Butterfly Garden to a Fairy Garden to Vegetable and Nutrition areas that delight visitors young and old. Join us for some delightful ideas and a story of giving to the community. The program is free and open to the public.
