Bethesda Senior Center, 225 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA. Guest speaker, Jonathan Cassiday, is a resident of Snellville, GA. He graduated from South Gwinnett High School. He then attended Gwinnett Tech’s Horticulture Program, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to obtain a degree in Agricultural Production and Rural Studies, focusing on Community Development, Arts and Culture. While attending ABAC, Jonathan worked at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture where an interest developed in Historic Preservation. He attended University of Georgia for a master’s degree in Historic Preservation and obtained a certificate in Historic Landscape Management. He has worked with FEMA in Environmental and Historic Preservation documenting properties for federally funded state DOT projects. Jonathan has been with the Gwinnett Extension Agency in Extension Education since May of 2023.. GCMGA meetings are free and open to the public.
