LAWRENCEVILLE: Gwinnett County Master Gardeners Meeting - Roses

Bet Sobon will discuss general rose care, pruning, fertilizing, and incorporating roses in the landscape. Included will be a discussion of appropriate varieties for this area.  Bet is a Native New Yorker who moved to Georgia twenty years ago and began growing roses. She now grows over 150 roses of all types. Bet is currently President of the Greater Gwinnett Rose Society which is affiliated with The American Rose Society through which she is a certified Consulting Rosarian. She exhibits roses and has won 'Queen' twice, and is also editor of the Deep South District Newsletter, the “Bulletin.” GCMGA meets on the third Monday at The Bethesda Senior Center, 225 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. This is a lunchtime program. Please bring a bag lunch and GCMGA will provide cold drinks, coffee and water.
