MCDONOUGH: Third Annual Henry County Master Gardener Symposium

Heritage Park, 97 Lake Dow Road, McDonough. Karin Rutishauser, will be educating us on Edible, Medicinal and Native Herbs. She will also have some of her herbs available for purchase. Our second speaker is Ashley Frasca from WSB Radio’s “Green and Growing”. Ashley will be helping us get our gardens beautiful for Spring, by discussing Garden Preparation for Fall/Winter. Following a break for our catered box lunches, we will hear Sara Henderson share her knowledge on Hydrangeas in Southern Gardens. To close out the day Kim Toal, who is the Fayette County Extension Agent will be speaking on Flowering Bulbs for Georgia Gardens. There will also be a Silent Auction, with some great items; including a 4 night stay in a condo on Orange Beach, AL. Some of the local businesses will be participating as vendors, and you will have time to shop during the morning and afternoon breaks, as well as during lunch. Tickets are $35 through August 31st, and $40 as of September 1st. There is limited seating, so register early to secure attendance. Tickets are available at the Henry County Farmer’s Market on Thursdays from 10-2 until August 26th. They are also available for purchase at the Extension Office at 97 Lake Dow Road, McDonough.
