Dale Arrowood, a Master Falconer, started working with raptors as a young boy growing up on his family farm in Palmetto, GA. He became interested watching Mutual of Omaha’s “Wild Kingdom” on Sunday afternoons with stars Jim Fowler and Marlin Perkins and later worked at Callaway Gardens to train and manage the raptor programs. Now Arrowood is bringing his beautiful birds to Coweta County Extension Office in Newnan at 255 Pine Road. The Backyard Association is an educational program sponsored by the Coweta County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers (MGEVs). For more information, please contact the Coweta MGEVs at Coweta County Extension, 255 Pine Road, Newnan, Ga 30263-6014. Phone is 770-254-2620; email is coweta.extension@uga.edu. Registration is not required to attend this free program, but those who call in advance will be entered into a drawing for door prizes.
