Social hour: 9:30 AM – Lecture: 10 AM. The Bridge Community Center, 225 Willow Bend Road, Peachtree City, GA. Carol Hight, Director of Membership, West Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society, Inc., will tell us about the many wonderful native plants for the home landscape that will add beauty to your yard as they attract native wildlife such as butterflies, bees, and birds. This presentation will inform you about the non-natives currently being used by landscapers, along with suggested native plants you could use instead. Since non-natives provide almost no opportunities for native wildlife to eat or lay eggs, the program will provide information about the added benefit of providing larval food for butterflies, moths and other native insects along with food for feeding baby birds.
