Pavilion C at the Union County Farmers Market, 290 Farmers Market Way, Blairsville. The event coincides with the market's opening day. The sale will offer plants that are specifically appropriate to the North Georgia Mountains region. These plants can be difficult to find and expensive to purchase, so we expect there will be a good deal of interest in the event. All proceeds will support native plant education and plant rescue and preservation efforts. All sales are cash or check only and shoppers are encouraged to bring their own boxes or bags to carry plants home. The Georgia Native Plant Society North Georgia Mountains chapter holds monthly meetings at Young Harris College, conducts field trips, organizes native plant rescue programs, and offers habitat certifications.
