Lumpkin County Parks and Recreation, 365 Riley Road, Dahlonega. Hosted by Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners this presentation will cover the benefits of including local native plants in your landscape as well as how to grow and use them in your garden. Join us to learn about what constitutes a native plant, how they support our local ecosystem, how to incorporate them into existing sun and shade areas and where to find resources for purchasing plants and seeds. The presenter, Judy McHan, is a member of the Georgia Native Plant Society and a Master Gardener who fosters native plants on her property in Lumpkin County. Note this is a change in day and time for our educational programs for the winter months.
