Dunwoody Nature Center, 5343 Roberts Drive, Dunwoody 30338. The Georgia Perennial Plant Association welcomes Jay Sifford, Landscape Designer who is a true GARDEN designer. A well-designed stroll garden can help you develop the art of strolling. In this talk, Sifford addresses all the elements that make this type of garden a metaphor for life, from creating a memorable garden entrance that sets the tone for the experience, to laying out pathways that are rich with discovery, to destinations and axial focal points, to "planned serendipity," and to garden "jewelry" that celebrates the experience. The talk and beautiful photos will inspire you to create or recreate your garden into a magical, immersive one that Sifford describes as a place where fantasy and reality collide and, as a result, your imagination is free to soar. Cost is $10 for non-members, which can be converted to a full year’s membership after the meeting for $25 more.
