Then come hear Connie Gray who, has been a plant professional for nearly 50 years in Georgia, beginning in traditional horticulture. In the late 1980s she began studying native plants and the impacts of current development and landscaping methods on our natural ecosystems. Connie has worked for government agencies, non-profits, and private businesses. She has taught in various situations about plant identification, southeastern plant communities, sustainable gardening methods, the problems of invasive plants, ferns and other topics. Mostly retired, she now spends much of her time as an admin and group expert for a Facebook native plant group and serves as the Program Coordinator and a Board Member of the Athens-East Piedmont Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society.
