“Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life “ by Barbara Kingsolver. The author and her family conducted a year-long experiment — to live on home-grown and locally-grown foods. This book recounts truths they learned about food production and connections they discovered between diet and health. All four family members write in the Afterword about how their experiment grew into a farm-to-table restaurant and community development projects. Kingsolver’s daughters believe that this project shaped their healthy food values and lead one of them into a career as an environmental scientist. Click here to Register
